QT = selling bonds = shrinking M2.
HOWEVER, some definitions of M2 include short term money market funds at the banks. That definition murkies the waters a bit. Not sure what definition was used in Tom's research. But it is safe to say some shrinkage of M2 is a given. Additionally, QT raises the interest rates and that too affects the stock prices.
