Only Crimea was annexed but Donesk, Luhansk, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Transnistria are all Russian puppet states, and there was supposedly talk of having a referendum for one in the Kherson oblast. Possibly all of Ukraine puppeted (or at least an attempt at it) if the Russians had been quickly successful with their attack a few months ago.

The rate they are going sped up a lot in February and then slowed down in part due to all of the foreign assistance to Ukraine.

After the revolution in Ukraine there have been additional meaningful elections. Its not like a military junta took over. And it wasn't so much "the Crimeans contacted Russia" as Russia decided to take over. Not that a request from some people in Crimea would have meant it was not aggression against Ukraine.
Doesn’t seem like they’d be nursing any blitzkrieg plans for the rest of Europe.
Esp. because Ukraine has been difficult. But my point never was even close to "they would have blitzkrieged across Europe. It doesn't have to be Russian tanks pouring through the Fulda gap in order for the problem to get worse.
