Yes well it is well documented how the US made itself great stealing Brit intellectual property.. Then again hard to feel bad for the Brits who are responsible for so much (although certainly not all) of the modern world predicament ..

It is fair to have a certain period of no copy in say drugs.. but chip tech changes so rapidly .. I see no way to police it effectively
