An alliance of right-wing extremists and hardcore Donald Trump supporters has come together since the Jan. 6 insurrection, and law enforcement officials are gravely concerned.

The confederation was predictable -- and was indeed predicted -- by Homeland Security officials, who are no less alarmed to see how emboldened extremists have become since the insurrection caused their numbers to swell with new recruits, reported The New Yorker.

“On Jan. 6, we had neo-Nazis hanging out with a bunch of otherwise just MAGA people,” said Elizabeth Neumann, who served as DHS assistant secretary for counterterrorism and threat prevention during the Trump administration. “That’s an opportunity to recruit.”

Some of the U.S. Capitol rioters awaiting trial at the District of Columbia jail have formed an almost "cultlike" bond while locked up, and another former DHS official said that could be seen as symbolic of the alliances forming among disparate extremist groups after the former president's loss.

“One of the things that makes the current threat environment complicated for law enforcement and intelligence is the blending that occurs,” said John Cohen, who served as DHS acting chief of intelligence during the first year of Joe Biden's presidency. “People who may have come from very different ideological backgrounds or somewhat different ideological backgrounds are coalescing around certain things.”

Cohen said the unit he oversaw has picked up some disturbing and unmistakeable patterns.
“Anti-government militia, hardcore white supremacists, and even people more from the anarchist movement have come together,” Cohen said. Their goals are explicit: “assassination of elected officials, and violent activities to resist government activities or programs.”

Cohen pointed to a white supremacist's recent mass shooting at a grocery store in Buffalo as an example of this escalating threat.

“In my 38-plus years of law enforcement, this is the most complex threat environment I’ve ever seen,” Cohen said. “We have unacceptable levels of violence by people who are influenced and inspired by content they see online.”

Your heroine, MTG, now has a real life groomer working for her:

arjorie Taylor Greene Confirms Milo Yiannopoulos is Working For Her as an Intern
By Ken MeyerJun 6th, 2022

Milo Yiannopoulos (R) trails Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after she spoke at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol April 28, 2022 in Washington, DC. Win McNamee/Getty Images.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) confirmed on Monday that her office has hired alt-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos as an unpaid intern.

“So I have an intern that was raped by a priest as a young teen, was gay, has offended everyone at some point, turned his life back to Jesus and Church, and changed his life. Great story!” Greene said in a comment to Mediaite.

Yiannopoulos was spotted with Greene at a Capitol Hill press conference in which the congresswoman and QAnon conspiracy theorist called for a gathering with Yiannopoulos, Alex Jones, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk to talk about Twitter’s alleged censorship of conservatives.

Yiannopoulos posted about his internship on Telegram, saying “I’ve finally been persuaded out of retirement. But my skills are a bit rusty, so the best role I could land was an unpaid internship with a friend. Pray for me!”

Yiannopoulos rose to prominence years ago as a former Breitbart columnist and speaker known for his incendiary comments on political correctness, feminism, Islam, among other topics. He was permanently kicked off Twitter in 2016 after being accused of encouraging racist abuse toward comedienne Leslie Jones.

The following year, Yiannopoulos’ right-wing celebrity status nosedived when comments resurfaced in which he seemingly defended pedophilia. The uproar cost Yiannopoulos his job with Breitbart and several speaking engagements. Simon & Schuster revoked their deal with Yiannopoulos to publish his upcoming book at the time.

This is not the first time ties between Yiannopoulos and Greene have been reported. Far right personality Nick Fuentes gave Yiannopoulos credit for Greene speaking at the America First Political Action Conference months ago. The congresswoman drew massive criticism at the time for attending a white nationalist conference hosted by a Holocaust denier who praised Vladimir Putin.

I was just thinking of the obvious hypocrisy of the right regarding Obama playing too much golf, then worshipping Trump as he played more golf in one year than Obama did in eight.

Another item of hypocrisy them dawned on me.

Trump couldn't correctly read 2 Corinthians, didn't have a favorite scripture, never attended church, cheated on his wives thousands of times, held the Bible upside down, and believes he is god himself.

...and yet, they claim Trump loves God and wants to bring Christian values back to the constitution.

Biden goes to church almost every Sunday and has done so for most of his life. It's not new. He quotes scripture during his speeches, when being religious isn't popular among many of his party members. As far as we know, he's faithful to his wife.

Some how, I've had several Trump supporters tell me Biden is the one that doesn't believe in God. I've had some say Biden wants to take away our religious freedoms.

Sometimes it's just difficult not to laugh in the faces of these intentionally blind hippocrates. So many times, I just feel like laughing in their faces, then say, "Oh, wait. Are you serious?"
