The following is excerpted from the PC Week article:

It's a good thing that C++ Builder 3 accelerates compilation and linking, because it still doesn't do those things in the background, in the manner we're accustomed to from products such as Microsoft Corp.'s Visual C++. C++ Builder not only freezes its other tools while the compiler is running, it uses a modal dialog box to display the compiler's status messages. The compiler's final "all done" message just be dismissed before work can continue.

This statement is apparently PC Week's harshest criticizm of the upcoming release of C++ Builder 3. I would appreciate someone explaining to me how serious a 'flaw' this problem is. Just what can the developer do while his or her creation is being compiled? TIA
