Chart Update: stockcharts.com Ugly day across the board. Sell off taking down even energy with crude strongly up. Some times we must sell shares we don't want to, just because there is still a bid to be grabbed. stockcharts.com Looking at the lower Keltner at 25.02 close to where the last support came in ($25.06). It's ugly out there as Cohu drops 2.23 as I type. Looks like a lot of damage in semi land as SOXL has dropped 3.32 to 13.31! A severe drop 20 % daily drop! No doubt forced selling from margin calls and crypto locking up. Hope it is not a sign of liquidity locking up. If it is, hope it does not spread to othr assets. In downturns like today, one has to take comfort in the fact that Cohu has a lot of cash and a fortress balance sheet. Keeping powder dry and snagging some great balance sheet companies that have long records of paying a dividend is the closest to safe harbor I can think of in this sell off. I drive by dealerships with empty lots. I tried ordering some parts for my 1955 Nomad to complete the restoration, and I called 5 different places to find ten different parts. One of them is missing in every one's inventory and no possible fill date. If we are to endure a recession the inventory on dealers lot and grocers shelves will require restocking soon. Hard to envision a recession lasting long before demand continues to build. I wonder how long it takes to wring out all of the free money that was handed out. Looks like gas stations are doing th feds work for them. Hunker down and hold with confidence folks. This dog will have its day in the sun yet! Bob
