Alaskan, I am glad to read your informative comments. I am very bullish and very long on BAAT as you. Can you tell me
how you feel about the management at BAAT. Is Joe and others very astute from your discussions with them. I just hope
they are handling it all wisely. It is a major turning point for them as well and we dont want any foolish mistakes, hopefully.

TA and all - What's this talk of no contract? That shouldn't have been expected by anyone, anyway. But what you have are reps from the big 3 and others, the potential to exceed a MAGIC number like 100 mpg, and the speculation that a letter of intent or agreement to proceed could come out of today's test. How many times, even with BAAT in the past week, have we seen "Buy on the Rumor"? It will be a good day today after noon est when the first reports from California have made their rounds.

In your opinion, which one of the big three automakers would want to be the last to implement 100MPG technology in their product line?

The stock detective has deduced that it would be better for GM to introduce their own 60MPG car in the year 2001, than to introduce a BAAT 100MPG car in 1999 or 2000. How do you respond to such brilliant insight?

i wanted to expand "the alaskan's" excellent technical description with a few points so we can all better understand just where this tech stands.how the engine will work today-- the baat engine controls the timing of the valves by installing a cam ground to their specifications.they influence the combustion taking place inside the engine my modifying the top of the pistons to their specifications.they also control the timing of the injection of the diesel fuel directly into the combustion chamber to correspond to their valve timing settings.they improve intake and exhaust manifold flow to allow better breathing of the engine.they use super lubricants to minimize internal friction and amazingly get 100 mpg !!! now if you're building a cylinder injected engine these changes have little cost associated with them. if your rebuilding a cyl-inj engine there may or not be additional cost associated with your rebuild depending on the condition of your original parts but it is safe to conclude that the cost to replace the original cam and pistons etc is minescule compared with the gas and power improvements wwith baat tech.this is especially true for busses,semi-trucks,big construction eq.farm tractors etc where fuel (especially) is a major cost to business and rebuilding of engines is commonplace.now if you have an engine that uses a regular carb or a fuel injection that feeds into the intake(sometimes called throttle body injection) this technology does not likely apply.not that portions might not but the cost of the modifications would have to be compared with the fuel savings and the analysis done on a engine by engine basis.to rebuild my 350 chevy and put in modified pistons and and a new cam is one thing but to put in cyl. fuel injection probably wont pay back. if you're building a new gas engine you'd either go to cyl. injection or if carbed probably something like honda's new gas that has 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves controlled vie electronics which gives them infinite control of valve timing.by this method they can make one intake valve bring in air while the other is closed followed by a air/gas mixture in the second valve which gives many advantages. IMHO the baat thing is great but we still dont know about how well were protected on the patent side.im a holder today.
