I have read around the laws of DPR and indeed they have firing squad, a traditional USSR death penalty, on their legal books since 2014. It was used during the 8 year war. War crimes were regularly committed against these people (regular shelling of civilians by Ukrainian armed forces causing death including women and children). I don’t see why anybody would care outside of their own families. There will be some stink from the Brits, but, in the end, they will probably be executed relatively quickly since that part of the world does not do legal battles over capital punishment. You should know where you sign up to fight and for what? BWDIK. Neither Ukraine nor Russia currently have a death penalty. So, shit out of luck I guess.
