You may be correct that they aren't including deaths in that table, but there are inconsistencies in the data that are difficult to resolve because they didn't present any version of that table until July 2021. Regardless of that, you can't calculate rates for the purposes of comparison over a long time period with the assumption that the denominators are constant when they are known to be significantly and monotonically changing in a direction that favours one outcome. The ratio of non-jabbed to jabbed Canadians has gone from infinity (1:0) to about 1:4 during the period in question.

It's only in the last couple of months that an analysis of your type would come close to being of any relevance. Rerun your analysis using data from the past one or two months and you will see a completely different result.
