Richard Haass, the president of the Council on Foreign Relations, told 'Morning Joe' on Wednesday that Liz Cheney Republicanism is conservative: "What we see today is that Republicans have ceased to be conservatives, and modern day Republicanism has become radicalism. It's become populist. And you're putting people and policies, what have you, preferences ahead of democracy, ahead of the country, ahead of the Constitution, ahead of our institutions. That, to me, is obviously an unbelievably dangerous departure. We no longer have -- we have, if you will, a progressive liberal party. We no longer have a conservative party. We have what's become a radical movement, a radical network in and out of the official party. That's something we've really never had to deal with in our history. And the question is, can we fete through it? Can we basically get to a point where Liz Cheney Republicanism, which by the way is extremely conservative in her policies, whether we can get back to the point that regains control of the Republican party? I don't know the answer to what. Obviously, we have an enormous stake in it. It gets a little to the point of these hearings, and I might slightly disagree with John and others. I'm not so sure that what we heard is an airtight legal case. I actually have doubts about it."

Almost 20 million viewers tuned in for the hearings on Thursday night, according to The Hill. By contrast, President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address in March pulled in 38 million viewers. In 2018, then-President Donald Trump’s first State of the Union attracted over 45 million, per the New York Post.

The 20 million figure did stand above a typical congressional hearing, The Hill noted, citing the roughly 9 million viewers for Trump’s first impeachment trial.

But considering that it was on virtually every network and in primetime those numbers are disappointing.

Many Conservatives like myself stopped watching FOX after Nov 6 2020 when they contributed to the election steal. I will never watch again. They are peas in a pod with the CNN, MSDNC etc. Good riddance. Controlled opposition at best. They lost viewers because they aided the lie that the election was legit. Even with hat though their viewership remains way above CNN and MSDNC
