Trump never requested National Guard troops or summoned any other federal resources to stop the violence at the Capitol, despite numerous pleas from others including his kids. Pence was on the phone seeking help, but that help was denied. All the while Trump was happily watching the violent scene on TV - a complete dereliction of duty. Q: How come guards let protesters in? The video footage shows that scores of Capitol police resisted forced entry by the masses for hours until they were overcome. I can't speak for the possibility that a couple of Capitol police might have been Trump sympathizers, but once the Capitol was breached and the officers were outnumbered, there was probably less resistance by officers to avoid further bloodshed. Q; How come the only death was an unarmed Trump supporter shot in cold blood? False. Multiple Capitol police officers died in the days immediately after the violent insurrection, from heart attack (after being Tasered and bear-sprayed by "peaceful protesters") and suicide.
