And here I thought the X86 and PA-RISC architectures would be the easiest chips from which to migrate to the Merced, since it was designed to run their code. Now I learn the Alpha will be easier "by far." Thanks for setting me straight on that. I try to only invest in companies I believe in, so perhaps I am a bit defensive. C'est la vie. Actually, I appreciate hearing the negatives, and I try to consider each one carefully (before I reject it <g>). Eventually, a negative may come along that will cause me to sell my SUNW. I don't expect that to happen any time soon. Everybody has to make their own decisions on such matters. JMHO.
