If the US, and by extension NATO, demonstrates to Putin that we cannot get our equipment a thousand miles across Europe with the batteries and ammo and selfie sticks necessary to fight, then he will be emboldened to create a lot more mischief. Who knows what others might try to gain some advantage while our bootlaces are tied together.

I know, that is more or less what I did in Alaska for the Division of Public Health for 20 years.

I am pretty good with understanding social systems as my education, and work experience was all about that.

And my graduate thesis was in systems analysis.

And that is why the moderate wing of the Democratic party frustrates me. We have been letting the Republicans win for the last 14 years, and now it has come back to bite us in the ass.

We are staring right down the barrel of a huge defeat in 2022 and the Republicans controlling congress.

Obama did not prosecute even one banker and let McConnell and the Republicans run over him for eight years. He also kept the Democratic party at arms length, instead of embracing it as he did not want to piss off the Republicans.

I know we are not supposed to say that, but it is what happened.

And Biden isn't doing much better with his constant praising of McConnell and the Republicans, an trying to work with them rather than fight with them..

Neither, IMO, put the Democratic party first.

I heard it as "Soldiers win battles, quartermaster generals and supply sergeants win wars."
