Hey guys. You can put your swords away. The war is over. We won. You guys crack me up with the amount of energy spent sweating over these insignificant matters. All you need do is stand back and examine the bigger picture here and the potential of NETZ is obvious. Who cares about whether or not someone flies somewhere or the "out-on-a-limb" prediction that there may be press within the next 3 weeks. Certainly we "deserve" to know what is going on. . . . . .BUT . . . do we really NEED to know? If I was a barber and I just bought the biggest shopping mall in the region, do you think that you would still find me cutting hair? Would I even answer your calls left at my barber shop? No, I would be out checking my new properties and making plans on how to best service this baby. I would be running through the place making sure everybody meets their new landlord. And I'd be making plans. BIG plans. Echo-Media was a REAL company that had an injection of funds when merged with Netmaster, basically a guy with dough. Then something truly remarkable happened. Softbank, Japan bought ZiffDavis and became and overnight MEDIA EMPIRE. They HAD to sell Softbank Interactive Marketing to someone, so as not to appear to have a conflict of interest to their prospective clientele. And the deal needed to made quickly before the all important January trade shows begun. You can't make your main biz the selling of magazine print space to ad agencies and also own an ad agency. Nobody will trust you. Now Netmaster just happened to have offices in Boston and LA, places where Softbank had offices. My guess is they were simply in the right place at the right time with the right funds, and acted decisively, making one AMAZING purchase. . . for us. Now, which offices to keep open? Which are redundant? [Certainly Boston and LA]. Moving headquarters from BOTH Rhode Island and New York City to San Francisco...big job. They will need to set up a Tokyo office now won't they? This takes an enormous amount of work by the principals. Sorry, they don't answer you calls, but they are gone, man. They are out taking care of YOUR business. How about this one? WHO heads WHICH areas? My guess is Caroline Vanderlip will stay in New York and head up the MEDIA division. Meatchum, I believe will head up the TEK-nical division from San Francisco, where Burgess, I would guess, would head up acquisitions and operations. That means these guys have got to move their families, etc., acquire homes, lease space, hire people and maybe even let go a few workers from redundant offices. Do you realize what amount of work this merger takes? Not to mention, Softbank Interactive has offices around the globe that need to meet their new bosses. And what about the legalities and details of the acquisition of a foreign corporation? What about the name change that must occur for SIM to legally become ZULU-MEDIA or whatever? It is an enormous task that will take quite a bit of time to complete and will certainly NOT be hurried along by us penny watching busy body Silicon Investors calling all over creation asking why someone is taking a trip? Good gracious. Now, The reason that a Softbank Interactive employee or two may have ducked out upon hearing the news of takeover, was simply FEAR of the unknown. Sound familiar? My guess is that in a year, when the hands have all been dealt, they will have enormous regrets. Will we? PEOPLE. This is a twenty-cent stock with a hundred million dollar per year revenue generator already attached. It sits atop a multi-billion dollar a year industry. It just needs dusted off and plugged back in. Forget Double-Click. There is plenty money for all. Forget AUTO-Netz. Who needs it now? Forget the Bellcore deal. Old news. Forget the CDs of EchoMedia. No future in it. For that matter forget Netmaster. The few clients they had were a drop in the bucket compared to SIM. Forget the Universal Commerce thing, which none of us even understand, let alone believe. The potential of the Softbank Interactive merger is way beyond anything that Mr. Burgess, Mr. Meatchum or the real money guys behind them [Mr. Miller maybe] ever anticipated. And it is more than enough to make a company great or a stock rise. With the LONG confidence I have in NETZ [ZULU to be?], I am quietly accumulating and wishing that other buyers were accumulating in a similar fashion. When the news does come out, I venture to say that each of us will regret not having bought more at .20 cents. Frankly, I hope they don't release ANY news until mid-March. That would give me sufficient time to find some discretionary dollars with which to take a more substantial position. The news will certainly come fast enough when it comes. Name changes, Executive appointees, headquarters, offices, financials, new clients, finalization with Softbank, legalities, etc., etc. Are you ready for all of that news to come today? I am not. Meanwhile, leave the barber alone. He is having the time of his life. Rande Is ~~~~~~~~~~NOTE: The opinions expressed are my own and in no way constitute a buy or sell recommendation. All persons should stay away from penny stocks unless they understand that their entire investment can quickly be lost. I hold a small long position in NETZ and am hoping to accumulate when I have more money I don't mind losing.
