Want to move there? It’s damn cold! Colder than chi town with wind chill. -g- everyone still eats ice cream on the streets of Moscow in January at -20 degrees C? 70s stag was a good time to be in Russia too. Golden years of the Soviets. In the 80s oil crashed and it went to shit. Dubai, they know how to swim in oil riches, Russia is still broke.

I went to Russia last in 2001, flew back to NYC 9 days before 9-11. Things were already pretty good with food,
and you could get all the latest software for windows, pirated for $30, 30 cds of it. Right now you risk 30 years in Siberia if you were born there and abandoned ship for good. So I would rather live in post soviet Georgia or Armenia. Armenian girls are cute -g- I don’t keep my hand on the pulse of post Soviet countries, or Russia. I am happy they are living better, cause they always lived in shit. My parents used to live there, but my mom passed away from cancer prematurely in the early 90-s, my dad followed her early this century. Since then I don’t have anyone there, except my friends mom, but we don’t communicate much. I did not hear good things about Putin. I have a friend who immigrated to the US and he fled Russia because Putin’s goons kept blackmailing him for money (and they kill if you don’t pay up). I don’t think this changed. The mafia comes here too. They like to get someone to sleep with an underaged prostitute then blackmail with statutory rape charges. Their favorite blackmail tactics. I don’t have 100 mil, and not interested in underaged prostitutes, so I am not in trouble unless I actually go there -g- used to be death penalty for defecting, it looks like Putin is bringing that back, the lesser version of 15 years.
