There has been serious and continual errors in Datek's quote servers. The last trade price listed in your portfolio's DOES NOT
necessarily agree with the last trade listed on the quote server.

DATEK has already several times explained that in the NEW system,
the stock prices used to calculate the value of your portfolio
are now the BID prices, no longer the last trade price. The idea
is to tell you the value of your portfolio if you were to
immediately liquidate it via market orders. This makes sense.

In the old system - which you can still use - I believe they still
use the last trade price, but I'm not 100% certain. DATEK has been
talking about using new backend software with the old interface for
better speed. To add to the confusion, some of the servers use a
new (ugly) so-called CLASSIC interface, which really isn't.

If this change has a negative effect regarding margin, probably
it is something you'll just have to get used to. It's a policy
change, not a cheat.

"Are you sure you want to do this" defaults to "yes" after five seconds!

It this anyone else's experience? I just put in an order through orders4, and noticed the following:

* the order showed up on island before the confirmation screen even showed up

* when I didn't immediately confirm (I wonder what would have happened if I had said "No, cancel the order"), it confirmed on its own!! That is, it took me back to the quote page, saying "your order has been confirmed. No it hasn't!

I don't really care this time, and when I tried to argue with Datek support before, it was just frustrating -- they were polite and clueless. But I'd be interested to hear if others are having the same experience.

I just started really using my Datek account, and I notice this evening that the quotes, as you say, are waaaay off, at least with Yahoo's quotes -- not just in price, but volume, too. It's showing bngo's last trade at 3 7/16 with a volume of 1678100. Yahoo shows last trade at 4 1/8 with a volume of 186300. Makes one wonder how accurate their quotes are during the trading day. Anyone have any more info on this issue?
