*AV* ---Hot Flash -- In the process of cancelling my order for an ISDN line for the Pentium Beast and its parasitic modem (US West is now close to 3 months overdue on the delivery due to a LU issue and Netcom does not support it anyway in my local calling area), I was told that US West will be introducing ADSL bundled with an ISP in both Denver and my fair Choice City.

Problem is that it needs copper lines throughout. Since my house is 1 mile from the switching station and 200 feet from an obnoxious area "BOX", I have a 99% probability that I have copper lines all the way to my home, allowing a smooth ADSL implementation. That is not the case in many places. Apparently there is other stuff out in the telephone pathway that is not of the "copper type" nomenclature which will make the ADSL real difficult. This information comes direct from a friend that is working the issue for US West in this area.

Ain't as easy as we were all led to believe.
