Dan - thanks for the report! Much appreciated.

few questions -

1)gtoland mentioned that its strictly a mpg test - does that mean driving at a constant mph? Say 60mph? My concern is if the engine is tuned for max mpg at only one speed...

2) About shareholders getting rides and Joe confirming that the vehicle was doing fine at 80-90 mph. Did you mean mpg or mph?

3) Finally - re Big 3 not being present (no surprise there). the engineers who wanted to go but not getting clearance - meaning clearance from BAT?

I have a good feeling about this company and I think that they could just pull it off (hell, I got in at .19 so I am ALREADY happy!)

Thanks in advance,
JohnnyH

TRACK REPORT!!! JUST IN!

Our man in the field, gtoland reports: The trial is about to begin. There will be four drivers. Joe will drive first, followed by Green, Keith Harper (GM test driver) and Roger Ward (Indy 500 two time winner). They will be driving strictly for efficiency. The engine is tuned for 40 mph (speed) and they will be driving at that speed. The objective is to get the best diesel mileage possible.

There are approx 50 people at the track, more are driving up. All types of on lookers, blue collar, white collar, etc. One shareholder got to help wax the car last night.

Congressman Brown (from that CA district) is expected to attend.

John Hanzl: I meant mph, speed.

Dan,
Re: the absence of the Big 3, please ask gtolands if there are any other manufacturer's reps at the test. I seem to remember Renault was at the last one in Jan.
