Haim, I do not know anything about India other than what the MSM (Economist / Bloomberg / NYT / …) tries to tell me, which I note, but remain agnostic. Am in a ‘show me’ mode.

On China, am a bit more qualified than many to comment on, as you might be w/r to Israel.

I watch / brief on China. Important to me. Am in a ‘show me more’ mode.
Whilst I can afford to be wrong on China, I wouldn’t like to.
Is why I hold Gold, to wager on China and, paradoxically, to hedge against developments in China.

This is why I also watch / brief on Gold. Important to me.
Whilst I can afford to be wrong on Gold, I wouldn’t like to.
I believe Gold tells me things if I manage to filter out the noise surrounding Gold.

I treat Gold as a currency against which to measure other currencies. Gold is always a part of a pair-trade. IOW, if I am long Gold, I am not as long on something else; an important property of Gold, that which is seemingly useless, and has no promises made by any counter party ‘backing’ Gold. Gold is pure.
