"I have been adding VALE ..... "

I wonder how much Iron Ore VALE is currently "pumping through" their semi-processing facility on the West coast of Malaysia which ends up primarily going to their Far Eastern markets, with China very likely being on top of their list ......

Highly recommend listening to the Mercedes CEO interview as it provides a good glimpse where the auto business is going. i was quite impressed by the CEO - no frills and he seems to bring some much needed fresh air into Mercedes.

Stock seems quite cheap and dividend yield is almost 10% at current prices. Due to the car shortage, they are making a lot of money (they sell everything at full price and have pared back many incentives, plus they are selling preferentially more expensive feature laden cars with better margins), but there is a question how long this lasts.

They do have a L3 self driving car which Tesla does not have currently.

Re: Southern Copper Corp (SCCO)

SCCO was -2% today so I added 50% to my earlier position.

Southern Copper Corporation engages in mining, exploring, smelting, and refining copper and other minerals. The company conducts exploration activities in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru. Southern Copper has the largest copper reserves in the industry and operates high-quality, world-class assets in investment grade countries, such as Mexico and Peru.'
ROE = 36%; ROA +16%; 31% profit margin

not too much debt w/ a Debt /Equity= 0.76

Dividend yields 6.2%

Copper used in EV so their s/d be an increasing demand for the metal.
