And don't forget how the Salton Sea (now evaporating away) was originally filled

A government F'up if I recall correctly...

And this may be the country's largest lithium resource if the governing parties allow.

The entire Coachella Valley was under water since the end of the last ice age. Along a golf course I play often you can see the high water markings in the rocks. Amazing they've lasted for 10k+ years.
