All of those changes, due to decisions by various tsars, emperors and all the way to the Bolsheviks - had one thing in common - every one among them thought their empire will last forever. That never happens.

What happens is the usual European stuff, with wars, hatreds and resentments.

And Kaliniingrad had been German and Polish in the past and didn't become part of Russia (Russian SSSF under the USSR) until 1945. OK to invade it?
