Yeah, trading naked options can shoot your nerves, blood pressure, and even cause your nipples to invert!

I remember I had some options I bought the day before 9-11, and they were frozen for the rest of the week because the market was closed.

It was just a $17 stock, but when it opened for trading, the bid/ask spread was like $1 on the front month options at the money! I saw bid/ask spreads that morning that were beyond ridiculous and not seen since.

By 10:30am or so, the volatility cooled down on the options.

lordy i held my breath reading that
so glad they honored your trade
TD/Schwab bid asks way screwed up here and there through the last month adding to difficulty
not doing anything in size and more common these days
options are completely unforgiving...
