I'm sure he was, he sounds very loose and confident, but now that you say he has said 30-60 days he has commited himself to a timeframe.

Want to know the truth about what the negotiations are about?

We can't ask if they are a "done deal", because they are still negotiating. However, we can ask them more about the nature of the negotiations. Are the negotiations of a purely financial nature, or are they still engaged in technical negotiations?

1st Stage: Technical
Evaluation of technology, feasibililty studies, process details, process effectiveness, analysis of data, etc.

2nd Stage: Financial
After clearing all technical issues and Texaco having decided that the technology is attractive and feasible, companies go on to work out details, licensing rights, royalities, etc.

I hope someone can ask Mark to clarify if they are now 100% in the financial nego stage, or if they are still playing around with technical issues. If they have cleared all technical issues and they are just hammering out the financials, it should be a go. If they are still mired in technical issues, stay away.

I would follow up with this, but I am in Japan. Someone please help by calling.

Thanks.
