I as... likely NO one here have been to the last stand place of Metis in Batoche SK.. I have seen far far more of my country from the small places where history was really made than most.. I am a small minority .. what is displayed, shown and said in these places is often not what google or Canadian History tells you ... many many on both sides are clueless.. Quite a few Franco Ontarians in a group camper convoy we met.. strong reaction to the Gov video of Johnny saying I don't care what those dogs in in Quebec think... Then they hung Riel.. It was expedient.. Gabby Dumont fled to Montana JM has plenty of sins on his plate Residential schools possibly not one... then again handing an issue off realising the consequence with no direct contact .. is far far from absolution ...
