My guess - Intel will ship 86 to 88 million CPU's this year. This includes CPUS for PCs, workstations and servers.

Since some high end stuff uses multiple CPUs, the number of "boxes" shipped by the PC makers will be somewhat less.

Bear in mind that a major economic collapse. triggered by further S.E. Asia monetary crises, will change all this - for the worse.
