Thanks for your fast responce, that is good news about the conference in Europe, hopefully their will be a US conference on US Airlines in the very near future, and ALYD should have a definate advantage, and yes you could say McDonnell Douglas definatly counts, what about Boeing, do they now own McDonnell Douglas?

Hi Jeff,

It is almost as if we have choreographed this. Whilst out doing a hard 95 miles on the trusty Cannondale in the pouring Welsh rain I was thinking about the British Airways deal. The reason I was thinking about it was that we biked past their worldwide main engine service base just outside Cardiff.

On the operational front they should hopefully get clearance from the EU (European Union) authorities for their long delayed alliance with American Airlines next month. But it was the BA Engineering Division that scored the contract. The interesting point here is that General Electric of America do all the servicing on their engine maintenance and I hear that the two corporations, i.e. BA and GE have a pretty close working relationship which may or may not extend to very close integration of computer systems. How many other world/U.S. airlines have a close relationship with GE?

An article in todays Daily Telegraph says that BA are spending œ100 million to sort out their Y2K problem. I wonder if BA have signed a corporate license with Alydaar. It would make sense wouldn't it to have access to SmartCode technology for the whole organisation rather than sign separate contracts for each division. Any thoughts?

Regards,

Del.

p.s. can acid rain made in Wales dissolve my Hand Made in America Cannondale ?! Better ask on their thread... Don't tell me, only if it gets B.S. on it...!
