Re: Old Folk Portfolio ... Buys and Sells

As I stated yesterday, I did sell half of the JNJ position today. A full position in this portfolio is $65 and JNJ was at $170K, it is now down to $75K.

I then placed a number of limit buy orders and I presented them in an earlier comment yesterday. Three of those orders have hit today.

I was looking for companies who were valued for a "worst case" scenario when compared to their intrinsic value. In using a DCF Model, there are three scenarios presented. There is the Base Scenario, the Best Scenario and the Worst Scenario. The worst case represents a deep discount to the base rate.

Intrinsic Value is a fundamental, objective value that is based on the company's financials (such as revenue, net income, cash, debt, etc.). Where market price tells you the price other people are willing to pay, intrinsic value shows you the stock's value based on an analysis of its actual financial performance.

Since we are in a bear market I thought it prudent to look for worst case scenarios regarding valuations.

PH had a worst case scenario price target of $241.53. The LBO hit at $241.00.

CMI had a worst case scenario price target of $188.59. The LBO hit at $188.21.

BTI had a worst case scenario price target of $43.53. The LBO hit at $41.00.

I still have plenty of cash to put to work but I'm going to do it slowly as I expect further downside from this market.

Re: OLD FOLK PORTFOLIO ... Limit Order Triggered.

I had initially set a series of limit orders for this portfolio and one of them triggered today ... APD.

I had set this limit order where it represented a 30% correction from its 52 week high and traded just above its 52 week low. This is the price range where I thought it might provide a little price support.

Entry was $220, it closed at $221.98 and is up to $222.73 in after hours trading.

In the coming days, provided the market is still correcting, I will establish another limit buy order for APD. This is an underweight position and the goal is to build up it in size while it's in its down cycle.

Company - Limit Price

AEP - $88
APD - $220 (already hit)
BTI - $41 (already hit)
CNP - $27
CVS - $88
D - $72
DHI - $60
FDX - $210
HTGC - $13
LEG - $32
MA - $285
MDLZ - $58
MS - $72
NKE - $92
PH - $241 (already hit)
TJX - $49
TSCO - $175
TXN - 128

I notice you list LEG's 4.8% dividend increase but I don't see it in this portfolio. What am I missing?
It's on my list to buy -- just wondered if it is scheduled for your OFP.
