Yes, that’s the point. Once a person is on the defensive, for any reason - they’ll never stop attacking. DeSantis, from what I’ve seen, goes ahead and does what needs to be done - and does it very forcefully. I don’t think very many apparatchicks dear to stand in his way - and those few that do will pay the price. He speaks their language and knows how to get to them. In late September of 2020 he issued an order that as of Oct 2, as I recall, there will be NO CoViD restrictions in the State of Florida. No limited occupancies in restaurants, no enforcement of any mask requirements, whether “mandated” by DC - or required by private businesses. You can require all you want - but don’t expect any help enforcing it. Counties and localities were prohibited from issuing any restrictive rules. He did it so comprehensively and decisively that few dared to object. And it worked. The best real life study proving the uselessness of masks and other such things occurred in Florida. Don’t get me wrong - Trump was great, and probably still is - a great trailblazer. But, 80 years is no joke. Even metal develops “fatigue” :)
