Republicans are optimists at heart and believe they can sway people over to their side through persuasion. But really............how are you supposed to persuade people who see only injustice and perceived wrongs emanating from their government and fellow citizens? I think uncaring and callus progressives saw a crisis that they just could not let go to waste. The problem for them is 1. they went too far with their demands, defying all reason and logic and lost the support of the people and 2. many of these vulnerable people are clinically insane, depressed, and/or are rabid ideologues who hate the country. Unfortunately for them, the rest of us recognized if this chaos and mayhem continues our nation and everything that we have built is lost. Not sure which thread you're referring to?
