Hi thread -- I am a Silicon Graphics (SGI) shareholder, and was pleased to see a recent announcement below:

biz.yahoo.com

A new, ultrafast machine tuned specifically to run Netscape servers. Since SGI and NETSCAPE have been flagging in recent quarters, this could be a home run for both companies. I am trying now to assess how this thing will affect bottom line and appreciate the help of knowledgeable people on this thread.

Anybody know offhand the size of the Netscape installed server base? Are they holding market share here, gaining or slipping?

Thanks for your help. (GO NETSCAPE, SGI!) --JD

Giota, you better do your homework, and respond to DECREASING product revenues, Q4 '97 versus Q4 '96. You also should think about the DECREASE in total revenues from Q3 to Q4 '97.

Even though NSCP has grown nicely, it still can be overvalued. Especially with deteriorating fundamentals.

Good Luck, LF
