Are the portfolios that you update us on here, housed in traditional IRAs, Roths, or taxable brokerage accounts? Or some combination there of?

Re: Middle Age Portfolio ... Buys

Today I added to both TGT and BTI in this portfolio. TGT is a new position and one I will be adding to regularly as dividends from other companies come in. TGT had announced news bad enough to see a steep sell-off last month and the price has continued lower. Price is now 44% down from its 52 week high.

TGT -

With this current drop in price, TGT is now valued at a 'worst case' scenario with regard to its intrinsic value. The worst case value is $151.28 and price is currently at $150.

Although TGT is having problems with inventory and inflation, I believe they will get this under control. Where I see TGT's strength is they have been steadily rolling out smaller store formats and intends to continue to do so going forward. It is also seeking to boost the profitability of its digital operations and is investing in its distribution and sortation operations to assist in those efforts.

BTI -

BTI is also priced at a 'worst case' valuation. It is actually selling at a 5% discount to worst case value. The worst case value price is $44.01 and it is currently selling at $41.75.

BTI is also a yield play and has a current yield of 7.21%.
