Trump believes that “getting along” with a person is a sign that future cooperation would go well. Regrettably, the history of his presidential appointments does not support this. Almost all of them, including Mike Pence - proceeded from being the best people - towards becoming the opposite. I hate to sound negative about one of my most favorite Presidents. I doubt that DeSantis would agree to run as Trump's VP. But, who knows. Historically, VPs weren’t very successful as Prez candidates.

desantis has done a fantastic job in florida. imo a very smart capable person . However, his talents would never been exposed if it were not for trump! He would not have won the governor of florida election without trump endorsement imo. He was running against a dope dealer among many other criminal activities and he couldn't beat him. i doubt there is any problem between trump and DeSantis and the DNC is primarily trying to avoid future problems. i have no idea why DeSantis would step down to be VP other than to get Trump elected president one more time. Based on trumps age DeSantis would be a perfect VP to step into the presidential position if Trump became ill. i expect these men will work it out.
