Yes. It’s an unsubtle way of claiming the top dog spot.

The man will be 78 in 2024. He had a great life, he’s an incredibly accomplished man. Great family. If he retires, he will leave a grateful nation, many tens of millions of admirers. He could become more vocal, remain active in politics and in the public square in general. But, it’s a free country. His decision. If he's the nominee, he has my support. But I ain’t sending him money anymore :)

A Trump-DeSantis ticket? No way. Trump would treat DeSantis the same way he treated Pence -- like a peon. DeSantis won't take that job. Maybe Trump can talk Noem into it.
