each refinery is built for a certain type of oil if the same applies to coal each electrical power station works on a specific type of coal
therefore are so many names for bot coal and crude oil each with its own chemistry
Aside from fracking, the US has an oversupply of hydrocarbons but still needs to import certain specific types of oil for specific refineries.
Therefore NG is processed and cleaned from "volatile substances" before it is pumped into a network or converted to LNG
