I don't think social scientists pretend to know everything, just some things that are important.

I tell all the young people I meet who are starting college to first get a good education in the humanities.

That is the foundation of all our societies, that all people should have some working knowledge of for the good of the people and democracy..

The problem with the Republicans is that they don't have a good understanding of the humanities.

Liberals have the best understanding IMO.

Politics is a mind prison sometimes. Everything involving more than one person... is political. Anyone who pretends to know everything about social sciences or truth is fooling themselves, IMHO.
