Craig,
What are your thoughts on AOL. I am tempted to short before earnings today. COMS is a dog allright (I happen to have some in my portfolio), but I doubt it will stay long in the 20s even if it drops there - so the max you can make is a measly couple of bucks by shorting here. If it did get to 35+, I would short too.

Alok

people will purchase the nic on the motherboard, a practice i abhor ( i dislike how to much is built into the mb), but cpq has done this for quite a while for example. cpq also allows for disabling of the nic, so as new technologies arrive a new nic can be installed and the old nic will not cause conflicts.

yes people will purchase the initial nic in this fashion, but as new technologies are produced, gigabit ethernet, atm, the machines currently on the market will need to purchase new nics.

i definitely agree with you on the new pc having the nic built into the mb as eating into market share. not all pc manufactures do this, and not all technical people agree on the practice, but the trend continues.
