Obviously, we’re not including startup companies such as Lucid, Rivian, Bollinger and Fisker. Like Tesla, they’re all-electric from Day One and Job One.

I'd be careful with the use of the phrase, "Like Tesla". Thus far, there really isn't a "Like Tesla". And I'm not at all convinced American automakers can EVER be "like Tesla", until they've had time to steal some talent.

Wharfie, we'll be lucky to get to 50% of all car sales being electric in 13 years.

By then, the mandate to shut off all ICE sales in California will have to be pushed out.

That makes the mandate meaningless.

No need to tell me that EV sales are partly being driven by the fear of the mandate taking effect on time, because no one believes the mandate will stand if we're not able to meet it.
