current functioning country that has a suitable government There isn't one - at least one you could fit 300+ million people into. the USA was making progress It was, until c.1980. I keep hoping we would get back on track. It's up to younger generations. Whether they do or not is up to them. We won't be part of it much longer.

I can think of a lot of countries doing pretty well, and certainly a hell of a lot better than us.

All of the Nordic countries of course. New Zealand, South Korea has put two presidents in jail. We can't even put one in who is the worst of the bunch I am sure.

Taiwan, Lithuania and several of the European countries.

I have been meaning to post this for awhile. Probably the most successful nation in the world is Norway and this short video shows how they did it by always giving back to the people and emphasizing education to the max.

But primarily be understanding how to do that!!

We ad hoc Democrats in Alaska did this sort of thing in the 70's when we captured the house ( we established a permanent wealth fund for the oil money) and if we could have remained in power Alaska would be like Norway today, but of course we were too liberal to last long and the people voted the Republicans back in that raped the country.

I'm open minded, so if you have a suggestion of a current functioning country that has a suitable government I would like to hear of it. Because human beings are impossible to govern with total freedom there will always be dissension. I thought the USA was making progress including ALL human beings in the constitution
(took around 200 years) but now the religious right/white supremists are taking control. Not a good time to divide the house what with Putin/Xi/Kim Jong-Un planning our destruction.
