I remember seeing that in the early 80's when gas prices went crazy. State cops who were on freeway speeding duty didn't venture far from their base to save gas per budget constraints. Same old, same old.

That sucks. I assume anyone in Ozark County who doesn’t already own a gun is now going to get one. For years now, the news has sounded like the plot of a freaky dystopian novel, co-authored by Kafka and Orwell.
