The prices are low where the people aren't. Like lumber or corn. New topic - corn oil has vanished from our supermarket. "Vegetable Oil" is now mostly soy or canola but can contain almost anything including cottonseed. Canadian Oil (canola) is rapeseed - gotta love than marketing success! It is everywhere. Mazola - remember "you call it maize" campaign- is now just on column of "mixed" oil blends. This has happened in less than five years. There are recognizable food oils for five times the price. But corn oil seems to be completely off the shelf. Still available on Amazon - "Happy Belly" brand - probably Chinese - and Mazola. But it isn't cheap anymore.
