I usually get the whole root with that digger. Even if I don't, it can't spread thousands of those seeds if I even just get the green gone.
I don't have a lot but just one plant can spread thousands of not millions of seeds. They're hard to spot the first year because they grow low and look like a dinner plate. Once the grass is 4 feet tall, forget it. The second year is when they grow vertically and then try to go to seed. Spraying them at that point would kill them but they'll still do the seed spread. Matter of fact, even if you kill them or pull them BEFORE they go to seed, their dying act is to put everything into making seed heads and shooting them out. After I pull them, I burn them so they can't do that.

Flat start to futures so far even though Japan is up.

I was thinking about them a little bit ago and wondering why they are stuck in a rut and if we could do the same. They used to be the big exporter to us but China replaced them except for cars and a few other things. We don't export much except technology which China is catching up on. They are struggling with an aging demographic. We are entering that phase also. They have a high home to income ratio. Ditto. Are we in trouble in the not too distant future? What separates them from us?
