Comment from briefing.com:

14:00 ET Dow +127, Nasdaq +22, S&P +10.73: Okay, now that the Dow has finally broken out of its trading range, where does it go from here... Based on chart configurations, index poised for intermediate-term test of the 8700-8900 area... Not too shabby for an old tired bull market.
Fundamentally, such a move would lift the index to 24x-25x earnings... High, but in light of low rates and dormant inflation definitely possible... Returning to today's session, you have to be impressed by one-way nature of today's session... After pausing for two days, rally back in full swing... As we noted last week, this bull market has been characterized by strong up moves that don't give fence sitters an opportunity to buy on pullbacks - because there aren't any... Sectors pacing the record move include Airlines, Brokerage, Techs and Drugs... Absent has been the Energy group... Given stabilization in oil prices and Asian markets, oil sector is well positioned to stage a strong comeback.
