Precisely. Trading BB stocks requires a completely different philosophy than in the world of real companies. If you try to stick to all the tried and true homilies like "due diligence", averaging down, etc. you'll get fried every time. With BB's it's all or nothing. Sink or swim. Make or break. Ride 'em till they start to plateau out a little, or dip back down a cent or two, then bail out. If you hang on, hoping for the next BAAT or whatever, you'll get cleaned. Those kind of deals don't come along very often.

The only thing I check before I buy a BB is to see if they have filed anything with the SEC about a reverse split, or if there's any news of a reverse split. If I see that, I avoid it like the plague. And volume alone isn't enough of an indicator, either. If you see volume on a stock, make damn sure it isn't a flipper first. I learned that lesson the hard way on DYGN.
