Pete, I am not concerned with the extent of altruism exhibited by corporate America in those buy backs, I am only commenting on their effect on valuation as these relate to dividend yield and suggest that after a solid 4 to 5 years that corporations have been soaking stock from the market, it might be time to call these buy backs what these are, tax free dividends, and as such, our valuation sticks (indicating extreme overvaluation based on dividend yields) should be corrected. I wish someone (like S&P) would give us a true figure of the current dividend yield, including the tax benefits of those buy backs, so we can compare current yields to historical yields.

Pete, good point too bad people don't read the footnotes to financial statements to see the true financial impact of esops. I must disagree when Grim calls you an MB lackey,errand boy,water boy, you are RAZOR SHARP in my book. ho ho ho Will
