thanks. This is very exciting for me and a good learning experience.
Bottom fishing is surely a controversial strategy. O'Shaughnessy, in his recent (and excellent) What works on Wall Street, does not recommend it.
However, I bought AMAT in the summer of 1996 at an average of 27, sold too early last spring around 70, many shares.
If you choose good companies and look at the valuations, may not be bad.
Just bought MICA, given low valuations and a buy rating from DLJ with a target of 30 in 12 mos.
