I saw a mention of this in a column in the SF Examiner a couple of weeks ago (can't find the URL anymore, though). Apparently, Network Associates (the PR firm) made a business call to an organization in San Francisco on behalf of Symantec and everyone got confused. Network Associates (formerly known as McAfee) maintains that since they are in the software industry, not the PR industry, there's no conflict of interest. Hmmm....so I guess they don't understand why McDonald's keeps suing companies who use "Mc" in their business name even if they aren't selling hamburgers. Hope NETA's lawyers aren't teaching any business law classes 'cause the next generation is gonna be very misinformed! :)

Could it be that NETA's convertible bonds are there for paying the punishment on violating the law (using the name "Network Associates" which is already in use)????

Curious 'bout your opinions,
