The Cuban missile crisis? Monroe Doctrine? US led(or assisted) coup de tats in nearly every country in the western hemisphere?
Did any of these events lead to wars of choice that cost tens of thousands of American lives?

Nope.

The only one that did was Vietnam, but that war doesn't fall into any of the categories you mentioned above.

Plus we lost Vietnam. I bet you're reluctant to compare Vietnam with Ukraine for this reason alone.
