When a stock can't go up in this kind of market its time to dump it.

Freeus: I sold some stock at less than what it cost me. The purpose is to buy something with some short term gain. If Nextel wanders down to 23+, I will buy and hold it at that price. Some of us here will think this is a day trader mentality. There correct! I don't know of any rule where you can't eat the whip cream off the top before you eat the cake.

Other sellers of stock that is not performing also contribute to the snow ball effect that brings the price down.
If you don't play the game, you have a longer waiting period before your money grows.
