Yes, this two sides shit is just that, bullshit.

The Democrats have done a pretty good job of running this country in a civilized manner over the years, and would have done so much better had they not been constantly constrained by the Republicans with their cutting and preventing almost every needed social program and constant lowering of taxes for the rich and obscene military spending.

And ballooning the deficit that did not allow us to address things like the homeless, universal health care and affordable education. Democrats would have done all those things if they could have gotten them through congress..

And the Republicans have not done shit except fuck everything up for 100 years and led the country down the path toward fascism which may now only be a couple of years off now!

the numbers of folks doing it on both sides is very new, very troubling, and the root of our current mess, I think.

Ah, sorry. I've said regularly on this thread that I don't see any difference between Trumpian extremism and Progressive extremism. Both are extreme, and that in my opinion is a major piece of the problem we face as a country. Nothing is as black and white as these two groups of extremists would like to believe. Never was, isn't, and never will be. Name calling, stereotyping, and canceling upon disagreement is a pathology, and we are doomed if we can't figure out how to stop it.
